Terms and Conditions for Lancewood Sandwich Maker Competition in participating Spar Stores
This promotional competition ("competition") is conducted by Lancewood Holdings subject to the provisions of section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 read together with Regulation 11 and all other relevant sections ("collectively known as the CPA") and the terminology used in the aforesaid sections of the CPA shall apply to this competition.
The Lancewood Sandwich Maker Competition will take place from when the competition announcement posters are placed in the participating Spar store and close as indicated on the posters in store.
The competition is open to the following entrants:
All persons who have a South African identity number, birth certificate or valid passport;
The competition is not open to the following persons:
All directors, members, partners, agents, employees and consultants of Lancewood Holdings and any of its subsidiaries, or their spouses or partners or members of their immediate family; and
Any person, natural or juristic, who is a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition.
To be eligible for the Lancewood Sandwich Maker Competition, entrants must purchase at least one pack of 175g or 350g Lancewood Processed Cheese Slices.
Entrants are required to deposit their till slip confirming their purchase into the entry box provided in the participating Spar store before the closing date. Entrants must write their names and contact details on their till slips.
Winners will be selected by a random draw conducted by a Lancewood representative.
Winners will contacted by the Lancewood representative.
The prizes comprise the following:
1 x Sandwich Maker per store. The model may differ from the image on the Entry Box.
Lancewood shall not be responsible for any defect in the prize. Winners will be provided with the appropriate warrany.
The winners must be able to verify their identity by providing a certified copy of their South African identity document, birth certificate or valid passport, should the company request it.
Winners are also obliged to depose to an Affidavit to confirm that they are not directors, members, partners, agents, employees and consultants of Lancewood and any of its subsidiaries, or their spouses or partners or members of their immediate family or a supplier of goods or services in connection with this promotional competition.
Prizes are not transferrable for any Lancewood products or cash.
Winners have 3 months from date of announcement to claim their prizes. However,if attempts to contact the winner fail the auditors will be notified and new winners will be drawn.
Winners will be contacted by a representative of Lancewood within 7 days of the competition closing date.
Prizes will be delivered to winners within 2 weeks of closing date. Winners must have a valid residential or postal address to qualify. Prizes will only be given to the winner and not a representative, even if authorised by the winner.
By entering this competition, the entrant acknowledges and agrees that the promoter, its agents and representatives are granted the right to invite the entrant, which invitation the entrant has the right to decline, to participate in any marketing activity and use and the footage and/or images of the entrant in whole or part and in connection with the distribution, broadcasting and all advertising, marketing and promotions to do with the footage in relation to the competition.
No correspondence will be entered into and selection by random draw is final and binding, subject only to the supervision of the promoter’s independent auditor through the promoter’s internal audit reporting procedures.
When entering the competition, an entrant acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions of this competition.
This competition is governed by South African law and entrants agree to be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Cape Town Magistrates Court.
Lancewood chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this competition, whether in respect of court process, notice or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature: Lancewood, 1st Floor, Rosen Park, 1 High Street, Bellville, 7530.
Should you require a copy of the terms and conditions relating to this competition, please send a request in writing to Lancewood, 1st Floor, Rosen Park, 1 High Street, Bellville, 7530. Lancewood in its sole discretion reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any stage of the competition.
Should any entrant be found to be in contravention of any of these terms and conditions, Lancewood reserves the right to disqualify such an entrant on written notice to the entrant.
