This is a promotional competition (“competition”) conducted by Lancewood Holdings (Pty) Ltd (“promoter”) subject to the provisions of section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 as amended (“CPA”) and the regulations to be promulgated there-under, and the terminology used in the aforesaid CPA shall apply to the competition.

The competition is open to individuals who have a South African identity number, who are 18 years or older and are currently residing in the Republic of South Africa except those participants described in section 36(3)(b) of the CPA. The prize shall not be awarded to a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to the promoter or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by, the promoter, or to a supplier of goods or services in connection with the competition.

To enter the competition participants must submit the keyword Lancewood, their name and the last 4 digits of the barcode of any 230g Lancewood Cream Cheese or 250g Lancewood Superior Cream Cheese to 34060. SMSes charged at R1,50. Free SMSes not valid.

The prize comprises the following: 100 x shopping vouchers worth R200 each

Competition opens on 1 January 2012.

All winners must verify their identity by providing a certified copy of their South African identity document.

Winners are also obliged to depose to an Affidavit to confirm that they are not employees, nor are they in any way related to any of the employees of Lancewood Holdings (Pty) Ltd and any of their subsidiaries, or any of their associate companies or promotions and/or their marketing/advertising agencies or sales agents.

Prizes are not transferable.

Winners are selected by a computer programme which randomly selects a winner from all entries received. Foneworx (Pty) Ltd will oversee the draw and the verification procedures of the competition will be handled by Herdbuoys éKapa.

By entering this competition, the participant acknowledges and agrees that the promoter, its agents and representatives are granted the right to invite the participant, which invitation the participant has the right to decline, to participate in any marketing activity and use and exploit the footage and/or images of the participant in whole or part and in connection with the distribution, broadcasting and all advertising, marketing and promotions to do with the footage in relation to the competition.

Winners will be notified telephonically and via e-mail. If the winner cannot be contacted, the prize will be forfeited to the promoter for a reselection. When a participant submits an entry and/or sends e-mails to the promoter, that participant consents to receiving communications from the promoter electronically and agrees that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications sent by the promoter satisfy any legal requirements, including but not limited, to the requirement that such communication should be “in writing”.

Lancewood Holdings (Pty) Ltd will arrange the handing over of the prize as soon as the winner has been verified and advise the winner of the date.

Lancewood representatives will hand over the prizes to the winners.

Prizes will only be given to the winner and not a representative.

No correspondence will be entered into and the promoter’s decision is final and binding, subject only to the supervision of the competition and report thereon by a chartered accountant through the promoter’s internal audit reporting procedures.

When entering the competition, a participant acknowledges and agrees to the Terms and Conditions set out in this website (including any limitation of liability clause) and the agreement thus constituted continues indefinitely.

This website is hosted, controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa and therefore governed by South African law and participants agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Western Cape High Court (Cape Town).
