Lancewood was founded in 1996 by Jack and Mark Rubin as a diversification of their state-of-the-art dairy in the Garden Route. Cheese was originally manufactured in rental premises in Sedgefield. A new modern manufacturing facility was built in George in 1999. The facility consists of two manufacturing plants, refrigerated warehouses, dry store, administration, workshop and laboratories. The company is owned by the Mark Rubin Family Trust and BEE partners Amabubesi Investments. |
