Lancewood Air Fryer Biltong Mac & Cheese

Ingredients

250 g macaroni
1 beef stock cube(s)
250 ml LANCEWOOD Sauce Delight™ Cheese Sauce
400 g canned unsweetened evaporated milk
A pinch of nutmeg
7.5 ml Hot English mustard
250 ml LANCEWOOD® Cheddar , grated
250 ml LANCEWOOD® Medium Fat Mozzarella , grated
150 g biltong , sliced ( reserve a few slices for serving)
salt & freshly ground black pepper  to taste
125 ml breadcrumbs
45 ml melted butter
45 ml chives , chopped 

Method

Dissolve the beef stock cube in 1 litre of boiling water. Bring to a boil.

Add the macaroni and cook until just soft. Drain and set aside.

Mix the cheese sauce and evaporated milk together.

Add the nutmeg and mustard and bring to the boil. Add the cheeses and biltong.

Mix in the macaroni. Season to taste.

Spoon into a dish or individual dishes suitable for use in the air fryer. Mix the breadcrumbs with the melted butter and sprinkle over.

Air fry at 180°C for 12 – 14 minutes. Top with extra biltong slices and chives just before serving.

Serve with coleslaw and air fried broccoli.

HINTS & TIPS:

  • Temperatures of air fryers may vary and cooking times may vary and is just a guideline. Please adapt cooking time accordingly. 
  • Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25 – 30 minutes until golden.
